Spend the day surrounded by chocolate at the Chocolate Lovers Festival-Saturday, Oct. 16. The day starts with a gourmet chocolate pancake breakfast, followed by a 5K Chocolate Dash. Chocolate Alley features samplings and treats for sale.
View the best chocolate cakes and desserts, and all are open for bidding in the silent auction. A slip-n-slide, bounce-house, children's games and contests, pony rides, and rock-climbing wall entertain the kids throughout the afternoon. Roving chocolate-ambassadors will be distributing samples, and all crafts booths have free chocolate samples for visitors. The Historical Log Cabin Museum, an antique machine display, car show, and music will keep you entertained through the afternoon.
The day ends with a very exciting chocolate-themed Fear Factor Contest. Live bugs are consumed - chocolate-covered, of course! Admission is free with small fees at booths. For more information, www.chocolateloversfestival.com// or call Cindy at 979-773-9100.
